Who is Isuru Udana? කවුද මේ ඉසුරු උදාන?

33 හැවිරිදි ඉසුරු උදාන ශ්‍රී ලංකාව වෙනුවෙන් තරඟ 56 කට ක්‍රීඩා කර ඇති අතර කඩුලු 45 ක් දවාගෙන ඇත. ඉන්දියාව සමඟ පැවති තරඟාවලි ක්‍රීඩකයන් සංචිතයටද ඔහු ඇතුලත්ය . මෙම T20 තරඟාවලියේන් ජයග්‍රහණය කළේය. නමුත් ඔවුන්ට එක්දින ජාත්‍යන්තර තරගාවලිය 2-1 ලෙස අහිමි විය

උදාන පවෙසුවේ, තමන් තරුණ ක්‍රීඩකයන්ට ඉඩ දීමට මෙම තීරණය ගත් බවයි. “I believe the time has come for me to make way for the next generation of players,’’

‘’It is with immense pride and passion, and unfathomable commitment that I have represented and served my country.” තව දුරටත් ඉසුරු උදාන පැවසුවේ “මට මගේ රට නියෝජනය කළේ ඉතා ආඩම්බරයකින්, දැඩි ආශාවකින් සහ අප්‍රමාණ කැපවීමකින් ” යනුවෙනි.

ඔහුගේ මංගල තරඟය ලෙස 2009 දී ලංකාව වෙනුවෙන් සහභාගී උවද ඔහු උපරිම දක්ෂතාවයන් පෙන් වූයේ 2015 වසරේදීය.

ඔහු එක්දින සහ විස්සයි 20 තරඟ දෙකේදීම අර්ධ ශතකයක් වාර්තා කරමින් ඉතා හොඳ පිතිකරුවෙක් විය. ඔහු දැවැන්ත පිතිකරණයේ යෙදී පන්දු 48 කට ලකුණු 84ක් දකුණු අප්‍රිකාවට එරෙහිව 2009 දී ලබාගත්තේය.

උදාන ට්විටර් වෙබ් අඩවියේ ප්‍රකාශයක් කරමින් කියා සිටියේය. “Cricket was, is and always will be my greatest love, and I have given my 100% both on and off the field, respecting and upholding the spirit of cricket and national pride always”

“I am proud to have served my nation, and Sri Lanka Cricket with utmost dedication, commitment and passion to my fullest with a bunch of people who have touched my soul with the relationship of never-ending friendship. 

“However, I believe the time has come for me to retire from international cricket and in order to make way for the next generation of players.” තව දුරටත් පැවසුවේය.
