LPL in December??

It has been reported that the third phase of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) may be postponed to December. It is stated that the reason for this is the current situation in the country and a request to postpone one of the teams.

The five-team tournament is scheduled to be held in Colombo and Hambantota from August 1 to 21, but there are reports that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is now considering postponing it.

Sri Lankan cricket sources have told the Sunday Times newspaper that if the tournament is to be held as scheduled, the Galle Gladiators team is also preparing to withdraw from the tournament.

It is reported that this decision has been taken by the ownership of Galle Gladiators due to the political and economic instability in the country.

ලංකා ප්‍රිමියර් ලීග් (LPL) තුන්වන අදියර දෙසැම්බර් මාසයට කල් දැමීමට ඉඩක් ඇති බවට වාර්තා වී ඇත. මීට හේතුව ලෙස රටෙහි පවතින තත්වය සහ එක් කණ්ඩායම් කල් දමන ලෙසට කළ ඉල්ලීමක් බව සඳහන්ය.

කණ්ඩායම් පහකින් සමන්විත තරගාවලිය අගෝස්තු 1 සිට 21 දක්වා කොළඹ සහ හම්බන්තොටදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත නමුත් එය කල් දැමීම පිළිබඳව ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් (SLC) දැන් සලකා බලමින් සිටින බවටද වාර්තා වෙයි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආරංචිමාර්ග සන්ඩේ ටයිම්ස් පුවත්පත වෙත සදහන් කර ඇත්තේ තරගාවලිය නියමිත පරිදි පැවැත්වීමට කටයුතු කළහොත් Galle Gladiators කණ්ඩායම තරගාවලියෙන් ඉවත් වීමේ සූදානමක්ද පවතින බවයි.

රට තුළ පවතින දේශපාලන හා ආර්ථික අස්ථාවරත්වය හේතුවෙන් Galle Gladiators හිමිකාරීත්වය විසින් මෙම තීරණය ගෙන ඇති බවට වාර්තා වෙයි.
