Women’s IPL for the first time from March 2023!!!

The much-awaited Women’s IPL will be held from March 2023 for a month and most likely with five teams, a senior BCCI official confirmed on Friday. The BCCI chiefs have discussed the matter and have found space for the tournament in March after the Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.

“Yes, the WIPL will start in the first week of March and we have reserved four weeks for the first year. The T20 World Cup will be held in South Africa from February 9 to 26 and we plan to hold the WIPL immediately after that,” a senior BCCI official said. told to PTI. Both BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah had earlier confirmed to PTI that 2023 would be the starting year of the WIPL.

Many cricket fans believe that this tournament will bring a revolution and a leap forward in women’s cricket in India.

Owners of Rajasthan Royals and Barbados teams are already ready with their teams for the IPL Women’s Championship. Besides, the Kolkata Night Riders team has also expressed its interest.
