The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2021 New Zealand qualifiers postponed

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2021 New Zealand qualifiers scheduled to play between 3rd to 19 July in Sri Lanka was postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the journey to the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022 was scheduled to begin with the European Regional The qualifier in Denmark between 24 and 30 July also postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

ICC was announced this on 12th May 2020 with consulting governments and public health authorities

Furthermore, ICC is working with the participating members to see the possibility when these events can be staged.  


While speaking to ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley said; “Our priority during this difficult period is to protect the well-being of players, coaches,officials, fans and the whole cricket community and we will take well-informed,responsible decisions in relation to both postponing events and resuming international cricket.
