Sourav Ganguly has a new position in Delhi Capitals

Sourav Ganguly is going to be appointed as the Director of Cricket of Delhi Capitals, a top team in the Indian Premier League.

Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will return to the IPL as director of cricket with Delhi Capitals in the edition starting in 2023, sources said on Tuesday.

The former India captain, who stepped down as BCCI president in October, also oversaw all the franchise’s matches with ILT20 team Dubai Capitals and SA T20 League team Pretoria Capitals.

“Yes, Sourav is back with Delhi Capitals from this year. Discussions and procedures are over. He has worked with franchises and has a good relationship with the owners. If he is going to work in IPL, it will always be with DC,”

It is understood that Delhi Capitals’ recent auction selections included the selections of head coach Ricky Ponting and Ganguly. Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant was involved in an accident in a recent horrific car accident, which was not good news for the Delhi team.
