ICC announcement on the election of next Chair
Being the global governing body of Cricket with representing 105 member countries, and ICC governs and administrates the game and works with member countries to grow the game of Cricket.
The ICC board members met 26th May 2020 to discuss the election process for the Chair of ICC.
As per the ICC, no decision was taken on the election process and this subject matter will be taken up in the next ICC board meeting. The current Chair confirmed that he is not seeking an extension to hold his position and he agreed to support the board on a smooth transition.
In addition to that board discussed the postponement of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 with new dates with contingency plans considering the public health concerns caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
