Barbados Royals roped in Chamari Athapaththu

Chamari Athapaththu, the captain of Sri Lanka Women’s team, has been signed by the defending champions Barbados Royals for the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2024. Athapaththu has showcased excellent performance this year, scoring 371 runs in 12 T20Is, including a century. Additionally, she has been effective with the ball, taking 13 wickets with a best of 4 for 29.
The Women’s CPL 2024 is scheduled to take place from the 21st to the 29th of August in Trinidad, with all seven games being held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. The participating teams in the competition include Trinbago Knight Riders, Amazon Warriors, and Royals.
