Navy to battle for Clifford Cup final

The second semi-final of the 112th Clifford Cup Knockout Rugby Tournament was held today. For this match, the Navy Sports Club and the Army Sports Club met face-to-face at the Colombo Horse Racing Stadium this afternoon.

In the first half, the Army Sports Club managed to take the lead in the game with 7 to 3 points. In the first half, the Army players scored a try and scored 7 points, while the Navy players managed only one penalty in that half.

In the second half of the match, the Army players managed to score 6 points by succeeding in 2 penalty kicks, while the Navy players managed to spread their dominance in that half. පළමු අර්ධයේදී ලකුණු 7ට 3ක් ලෙසින් තරගයේ පෙරමුණ හිමිකරගැනීමට සමත් වූයේ යුධ හමුදා ක්‍රීඩා සමාජයයි. යුධ හමුදා ක්‍රීඩකයන් පළමු අර්ධයේදී උත්සාහක දිනුමක්, එහි ප්‍රවර්ථනය සාර්ථක කරගනිමින් ලකුණු 7 රැස්කළ අතර නාවික හමුදා ක්‍රීඩකයන්ට එම අර්ධය තුළදී සාර්ථක කරගැනීමට හැකිවූයේ එක් දඩුවම් පහරක් පමණි.

තරගයේ දෙවන අර්ධය තුළදී යුධ හමුදා ක්‍රීඩකයන් දඩුවම් පහර 2ක් සාර්ථක කරගනිමින් ලකුණු 6ක් රැස්කිරීමට සමත් වද්දී නාවික හමුදා ක්‍රීඩකයන් එම අර්ධය තුළදී සිය ආධිපත්‍යය පතුරවන්නට සමත්කම් දැක්වීය. තරගයේ 78වන මිනිත්තුවේදී නාවික හමුදා ක්‍රීඩකයන් උත්සාහක දිනුමක් හා එහි ප්‍රවර්ථන සාර්ථක කරගනිමින් නියමිත කාලය අවසන් වන විට ලකුණු සටහන 13ට 13ක් ලෙසින් සමතත්වයට රැගෙන එන්නට විය. අතිරේක කාලය තුළදී ඩ්‍රොප් ගෝලයක් සාර්ථක කරගනිමින් තරගය ලකුණු 16ට 13ක් ලෙසින් ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීමට නාවික හමුදා කණ්ඩායම සමත් විය.

முதல் பாதியில் ராணுவ விளையாட்டுக் கழகம் 7க்கு 3 என்ற புள்ளிகள் கணக்கில் முன்னிலை பெற்றது. முதல் பாதியில் இராணுவ வீரர்கள் ட்ரை ஒன்றைப் பெற்று 7 புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்ற அதேவேளை, அந்த பாதியில் கடற்படை வீரர்கள் ஒரு பெனால்டியை மாத்திரமே பெற்றுக் கொண்டனர்.

ஆட்டத்தின் இரண்டாவது பாதியில் இராணுவ வீரர்கள் 2 பெனால்டி உதைகளில் வெற்றி பெற்று 6 புள்ளிகளைப் பெற, கடற்படை வீரர்கள் அந்த பாதியில் தங்கள் ஆதிக்கத்தைப் பரப்பினர். ஆட்டத்தின் 78வது நிமிடத்தில் கடற்படை வீரர்கள் ஒரு ட்ரை அடித்து அதன் கன்வெர்ஷனில் வெற்றி பெற்றனர், நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட நேர முடிவில் 13-13 என சமநிலை ஏற்பட்டது. கூடுதல் நேரத்தில் டிராப் கோல் அடித்து கடற்படை அணி 16 முதல் 13 புள்ளிகள் என்ற கணக்கில் வெற்றி பெற்றது.

Despite trailing 11-10 at halftime, Kingswood regrouped and powered through in the second half, scoring 3 tries, 3 conversions, and 2 penalties to take home the win. Zahira fought valiantly with 2 tries, 1 conversion, and 2 penalties, but couldn’t match Kingswood’s consistency in the closing stages.
