Bhanuka Rajapaksa informed his resignation from Sri Lanka Cricket with immediate effect.
Rajapaksa, in his letter of resignation handed over to Sri Lanka Cricket, said the decision to resign was taken after considering his family obligations.
“I have very carefully considered my position as a player, husband and am taking this decision looking forward to fatherhood and associated familial obligations,” he said in his letter of resignation.
He also wished Sri Lanka Cricket continued success in its future endeavours.
Rajapaksa represented Sri Lanka in 05 ODIs and scored 85 runs and scoring 65 runs has the highest score. Further, he played 18 T20Is matches and scored 320 runs and 77 runs his highest score.
