Prabath Jayasuriya climbs up to 6th spot in ICC Test bowling rankings

Prabath Jayasuriya has made significant progress in the ICC’s Men’s Test Bowling Rankings, climbing up to the sixth position. His outstanding performance in the one-off Test against Afghanistan, where he took eight wickets, has propelled him three places higher in the rankings. Another player, Asitha Fernando, has also shown improvement by rising seven spots to 34th after taking six wickets in the same match. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian pacer, has claimed the top spot in the latest ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings. His remarkable figures of 9/91 in the second Test against England in Vizag have propelled him to the number one position. This achievement makes him the first Indian fast bowler to reach the top of the Test rankings. Ravichandran Ashwin, on the other hand, has dropped two places to third, while South African Kagiso Rabada maintains his second position despite not playing in the Test series against New Zealand.
