Kingswood College, Kandy stickers clinch the 13th annual Lennie De Silva Memorial Trophy.

Kingswood College,  Kandy stickers clinched the 13th annual Lennie De Silva Memorial Trophy with a thrilling 2 goals to-one win against Royal College, Colombo stickers, in their annual Schools Hockey encounter 2023, played at the University of Peradeniya ground, Kandy recently. 

Kingswood College, Kandy stickers, who earlier won the Central Province Schools Hockey Championship for the year 2023 and in fine form,  once again showcased their talents to overcome the gutty Royal College, Colombo stickers, pocketing the Lennie De Silva Memorial Trophy too. D.S.S. Jayatissa and K.A.D. Thewanka netted the goal for the Kingswoodians,  while M.R. Fernando netted the goal for the Royalists. The under-16 encounter between the two teams ended in an exciting 2-all draw. 

Guidance from an experienced Hockey player cum Coach, A.B. Godigamuwa, and assistant Coach, C.L. Sumanarathna,  paved the way for the Kingswoodian stickers to achieve this remarkable win.  Royal College, Colombo stickers are also Coached by an experienced Hockey player, Insaka Samaranayake, and assisted by famous Hockey stars,  Shahid Kuthubdeen and Damith Panditharatne.
