Kandamby steps down as head coach in Jaffna Kings

Thilina Kandamby has stepped down from the post of the head coach in Jaffna Kings of the
Lanka Premier League (LPL) franchise.

Kandamby’s decision will put end to a successful stint with Jaffna Kings which won the inaugural Lanka Premier League 2020 Championship and 2021, 2022 seasons as well.

However, last year the Jaffna Kings failed to qualify for the finals and were knocked out in the playoffs.

Announcing his decision, Kandamby said, “Now As I pen down these words, a wave of mixed emotions engulfs me, but it is with a grateful heart that I announce my decision to step down as the Head Coach of the incredible franchise @KingsJaffna. It is time for new
beginnings & fresh perspectives for both the franchise & myself.”
