India won the Asian Squash Men’s Team Championship.

The Indian men’s squash team won its first gold medal at the Asian Team Championships in Cheonju, Korea on Friday.

India defeated Kuwait 2-0 in the match between India and Kuwait.

Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Sourav Ghosal defeated Ammar Altamimi 3-0 (11-9, 11-2, 11-3) after defeating Ramit Tandon Ali Aramesi 3-0 (11-5, 11-7, 11-4). Then managed to win the match. National Games gold and silver medalists Abhay Singh and Velavan Sendil Kumar were the other two team members.

The men’s team had won silver medals on two previous occasions.

On Thursday, the women’s team – featuring National Games gold medalist Sunaina Kuruvilla, silver medalist Urvashi Joshi and bronze medalists Anahat Singh and Tanvi Khanna – lost 1-2 to Malaysia in the semifinals and finished with a bronze medal.

The men’s team had won all five of their group stage matches before beating Malaysia 2-1 in the semi-finals. On the other hand, the women’s team finished second in its group before going to Malaysia.

පොදුරාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලීය ක්‍රීඩා උළෙලේ ලෝකඩ පදක්කම්ලාභී සෞරව් ගෝසාල් අම්මර් අල්ටමිමි 3-0 (11-9, 11-2, 11-3) පරාජය කළ රමිත් ටැන්ඩන් අලී අරමේසි 3-0 (11-5, 11-7, 11-4) පරාජය කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව තරගය ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීමට සමත් විය. ජාතික ක්‍රීඩා උළෙලේ රන් හා රිදී පදක්කම්ලාභී අභය සිං සහ වේලවන් සෙන්දිල් කුමාර් සෙසු කණ්ඩායම් සාමාජිකයන් දෙදෙනා වූහ.

පිරිමි කණ්ඩායම මීට පෙර අවස්ථා දෙකකදී රිදී පදක්කම් දිනාගෙන තිබුණි.

காமன்வெல்த் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டியில் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்ற சௌரவ் கோசல் 3-0 (11-9, 11-2, 11-3) என்ற செட் கணக்கில் ரமித் டாண்டன் அலி அரமேசியை 3-0 (11-5, 11-7, 11-4) என்ற கணக்கில் தோற்கடித்தார். போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற வேண்டும். தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டியில் தங்கம் மற்றும் வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்ற அபய் சிங் மற்றும் வேலவன் செந்தில் குமார் ஆகியோர் மற்ற இரண்டு அணி உறுப்பினர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

ஆண்கள் அணி இதற்கு முன் இரண்டு முறை வெள்ளிப் பதக்கங்களை வென்றிருந்தது.

வியாழக்கிழமை, மகளிர் அணி – தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டியில் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்ற சுனைனா குருவில்லா, வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்ற ஊர்வசி ஜோஷி மற்றும் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்ற அனஹத் சிங் மற்றும் தன்வி கண்ணா ஆகியோர் அடங்கிய அணி – அரையிறுதியில் மலேசியாவிடம் 1-2 என்ற கணக்கில் தோல்வியடைந்து வெண்கலப் பதக்கத்துடன் முடிந்தது.

அரையிறுதியில் மலேசியாவை 2-1 என்ற கோல் கணக்கில் தோற்கடிப்பதற்கு முன்பு ஆண்கள் அணி குழு நிலை ஆட்டங்களில் ஐந்திலும் வெற்றி பெற்றிருந்தது. மறுபுறம், மகளிர் அணி மலேசியா செல்லும் முன் அதன் குழுவில் இரண்டாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்தது.

The incident occurred in a match of the National Super League held from April 6 to 9, where the Dambulla side faced Colombo. Wickramasinghe, representing Dambulla, drew attention from match officials, prompting concerns over the legality of his action.

The on-field umpires, Deepal Gunawardena and Ravindra Wimalasiri, made the report in accordance with standard procedures. Match referee Manoj Mendis also oversaw the process, ensuring that all regulations were followed.

Sri Lanka Under-19 Women extended their impressive run in the Tri-Series with a composed four-wicket victory over Australia Women Under-19 cricket team at Bill Pippen Oval Today.

After being put in to bat, Australia U-19 struggled to build momentum against a disciplined Sri Lankan bowling attack. Ayla Johnson top-scored with 18 off 29 balls, while Alyssa Dermody added a quick 13. However, regular wickets halted their progress as they finished on a modest 91 for 9 in 20 overs. Limansa Thilakarathne led the bowling effort with an impressive 3 for 26, well supported by Chamudi Praboda, who claimed 2 for 21.

In response, Sri Lanka Women Under-19 cricket team chased down the target with 92 for 6 in 19.3 overs. Despite a few setbacks, Pramudi Methsara anchored the innings with an unbeaten 21 off 17 balls, while Danodya Sewmini contributed a steady 14. Australia’s Filippa Suesee (3 for 18) and Ira Aery (2 for 13) fought hard, but Sri Lanka held their nerve.
