Batsmen should be careful from Wanindu Hasaranga. – Muttiah Muralitharan
The debate over who is the greatest, Muttiah Muralitharan or Shane Warne has been going on since the time they played together. Sri Lankan legend Muralitharan has expressed his views on the matter saying that Warne is a better bowler than him and the Australian legend has given him a lot of knowledge.
“I think he’s smarter than me, I watched him when I played and learned things from him. We will all miss him,” Muralitharan told reporters at the Legends League Cricket 2022 press conference in Kolkata on Thursday.
Murali is of the opinion that the World Cup held in Australia will be a good opportunity for the spinners. He is of the opinion that Australian pitching conditions will favour the leg spinners more than the off-spinners.
Muralitharan has warned the batsmen going to the Twenty20 World Cup to be careful against Sri Lankan leg-spinner Vanindu Hasaranga.
“He is a great T20 bowler. He has done very well in the last 2-3 years. He is a young man,” Muralidaran said talking about Hasaranga.
“In Australia, definitely the off-spinners will get more chances than the leg-spinners. Batsmen will certainly find it difficult to bat against him. You have to be very careful against him. “
Talking about Sri Lanka’s Asia Cup triumph, Muralitharan said: “We had a very young team in the last few years and we played brilliantly in the Asia Cup. They look like the best team and deserve to win the Asia Cup. Joining Namibia, United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands, Sri Lanka will have to enter the T20 World Cup qualifiers. The top two teams advance to the main round – Super 12.

ඔස්ට්රේලියාවේ පැවැත්වෙන ලෝක කුසලානය දඟපන්දු යවන්නන්ට හොද අවස්ථාවක් වනු ඇති බව මුරලිගේ අදහසයි. ඔස්ට්රේලියානු තණතීරු තත්වයන් පිට දඟ පන්දු යවන්නන්ට වඩා පා දඟ පන්දු යවන්නන්ට ඉවහල් වනු ඇතැයි ඔහුගේ අදහසයි.
