The United States of America is a consistent performer in international soccer. Currently ranked 15th in the world, the United States has qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. This is the eleventh time the United States has qualified for the FIFA World Cup.

USA Football Team Past Achievements

The American football team will leave for Qatar in November with the goal of changing history. This is the 11th time that the United States will participate in the FIFA World Cup.

The best result for the United States was recorded in the first edition of the FIFA World Cup. The team reached the semi-finals and finished 3rd in the tournament.

The 1950 FIFA World Cup was also special for the US soccer team. The team beat England 1-0.

Team USA did not qualify from 1954 to 1990. The team participated in every World Cup from 1986 to 2014. The team failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Now the team has once again qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Team USA will compete in Group B of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar alongside England, Iran and Wales.

Team USA will open their tournament on November 21st against Wales. The match will be held at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.

The United States will face England in their second match at the same venue on November 25, 2022. The United States will play their final group-stage game against Iran on November 29, 2022.

Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup campaign suffered a major setback as they went down to Zimbabwe by six wickets at the R. Premadasa Stadium — a result few predicted before the first ball was bowled.
