The official schedule for the highly anticipated India tour of Sri Lanka has been released by Sri Lanka Cricket.
The tour will feature three T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs), promising thrilling matches between the two cricketing powerhouses in Asia.
The T20Is will commence with the first match on 26 July at Pallekelle International Stadium, followed by the second on the 27th, and concluding with the third on the 29th. The focus will then shift to Colombo for the ODIs, starting with the first on 1 August. The second ODI will be held on the 4th, with the series wrapping up with the third on the 7th.
These matches will be crucial for both teams to fine-tune their strategies ahead of upcoming tournaments. The ODI series is of particular importance for Team India as they prepare for the Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place in Pakistan early next year. With the prestigious tournament on the horizon, the series against Sri Lanka will provide India with a valuable opportunity to assess their squad and strengthen their line-ups.
Meanwhile Indian media reported KL Rahul is likely to lead the ODI side while Hardik Pandya will lead the T20I’s for the visitors.
