The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team managed to win the silver medal in the women’s T20 cricket tournament of the 19th Asian Games after losing to the Indian women’s team by 19 runs in the final match.

The Indian women’s team batted first in this match and at the end of 20 overs scored 116 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

At the end of the 20 overs, the Sri Lanka women’s team, who played the reply innings, managed to score only 97 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

This is Sri Lanka’s first medal since the 2014 Asian Games.

මෙම තරගයේ ප්‍රථමයෙන් පන්දුවට පහර දුන් ඉන්දීය කාන්තා කණ්ඩායම පන්දුවාර 20 අවසානයේදී කඩුලු 7ක් දැවී ලකුණු 116ක් ලබා ගත්තා.

පිළිතුරු ඉනිම ක්‍රීඩා කළ ශ්‍රී ලංකා කාන්තා කණ්ඩායමට පන්දුවාර 20 අවසානයේදී කඩුලු 8ක් දැවී ලබා ගැනීමට හැකිවුණේ ලකුණු 97ක් පමණයි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව 2014 ආසියානු ක්‍රීඩා උළෙලෙන් පසු දිනා ගත් පළමු පදක්කම ද මෙයයි.
