The cricket board of Bangladesh announced on Saturday that Sri Lanka will be visiting Bangladesh for a all format tour in March.
This will be Bangladesh’s first international series of the year. According to the announcement made by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Sri Lanka will play three Twenty20 matches in the city of Sylhet, starting on 4 March. Following that, Chittagong will host three one-day matches starting on 13 March. The two-test series will be split between Sylhet and Chittagong, with Sylhet hosting the first test from 22 March and Chittagong hosting the second test from 30 March.
Bangladesh has never been able to defeat Sri Lanka in tests when playing at home, and they have only won one out of their five T20Is. However, they did manage to win their last home ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2021.
