Leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is among four key Sri Lankan players who will miss the upcoming Asia Cup due to injury.
Pacers Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka and Lahiru Kumara are also missing from the squad due to injuries. Binura Fernando and Pramod Madushan were late inclusions in the squad to replace the injured players.
Kusal Perera, returning after a hiatus of two years to the ODI squad, is still recovering from flu according to a statement from Sri Lankan Cricket and will join with the rest of the squad once he recovers.
Hasaranga is recovering from a strain in his thigh that he copped during the Lanka Premier League, where he was the top run-scorer and highest wicket-taker. 

Sri Lanka’s opening game in the Asia Cup is against Bangladesh on August 31 in Pallekele.

ආබාධයක් හේතුවෙන් එළැඹෙන ආසියානු කුසලාන ක්‍රිකට් තරගාවලිය අහිමි වන ප්‍රධාන ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රීඩකයන් හතර දෙනා අතරට දඟ පන්දු යවන තුන් ඉරියව් ක්‍රීඩක වනිඳු හසරංග ඇතුළත් වේ.

දුෂ්මන්ත චමීර, ඩිල්ෂාන් මධුශංක සහ ලහිරු කුමාර යන වේග පන්දු යවන්නන් ද ආබාධ හේතුවෙන් සංචිතයට ඇතුළත්ව නොමැත. ආබාධයකට ලක්වූ ක්‍රීඩකයින් වෙනුවට බිනුර ප්‍රනාන්දු සහ ප්‍රමෝද් මධුෂාන් සංචිතයට ප්‍රමාද වී ඇතුළත් විය.
වසර දෙකක විරාමයකින් පසුව එක්දින සංචිතයට එක්වන කුසල් පෙරේරා තවමත් උණ රෝගයෙන් සුවය ලබමින් සිටින බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනයේ ප්‍රකාශයකට අනුව ඔහු සුවය ලැබීමෙන් පසු කණ්ඩායමේ සෙසු ක්‍රීඩකයින් සමඟ එක්වනු ඇත.
හසරංග ලංකා ප්‍රිමියර් ලීග් තරඟාවලිය අතරතුරදී ඔහුගේ කලවා ප්‍රදේශයේ ඇති වූ ආතතියෙන් සුවය ලබමින් සිටින අතර එහිදී ඔහු වැඩිම ලකුණු ලාභියා සහ වැඩිම කඩුලු ලාභියා විය.
