Autokitz CC in a comfortable 5-wicket win against Willows CC 

Autokitz Cricket Club registered a comfortable 5 wicket win against Willows Cricket Club in a 20 overs limited Cricket encounter at the Gateway Complex Grounds, Seeduwa recently. 

Autokitz CC won the toss and invited Willows CC to take the first lease of the wicket, openers Sumedha Meddagodage and Sidath Samarawickrama, the pair together got to a fine start, with a partnership of 46 runs for the first wicket. Sumedha Meddagodage was the first batter to get dismissed being run out, scoring 29 runs. With 3 more batters being dismissed within the space of 19 runs, Willows CC was reeling at 65 for the loss of 4 wickets at one stage, the other opener,  Sidath Samarawickrama along with Chinthaka Wickramasinghe steadied the innings, with a 68  runs partnership for the 5th wicket. Sidath Samarawickrama playing a splendid knock, stroking a gallant 71 runs in 52 balls including 9 fours and 2 sixes was finally dismissed as the 5th batter. Chinthaka  Wickramasinghe scoring 18 runs was the 6th batter to get dismissed, followed by Manjula Liyanage as the 7th batter who scored at 143 runs on board, Lalindra Viraj was not out on 4, along with Nuwan Gunawardena at the wicket, took them to a reasonable total. Prasad Aberathne and Geeshan Ayeshana captured 2 wickets apiece and Pandula Amarasinghe with a wicket, shared the bowling honors. 

Autokitz CC in reply, openers Ravindu Samarasinghe and Milan Maduwantha, the pair added 38 runs for the first wicket,  with the dismissal of Milan Maduwantha, the other opener, Ravindu Samarasinghe stroking 40 runs in 16 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes, was the next to go, at the score at 50 runs on board. With the next dismissals, Lakshman Rodrigo ( 63 ), Ishan Perera ( 95 ), with a useful contribution of 27 runs, and Geehan Ayeshana ( 106 ), Autokitz CC were in a comfortable position at 106 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Isurunath Dissanayake, the 3rd down batter on 15 runs not out, along with Pandula Amarasinghe, playing a hurricane knock scoring 35 runs not out in 32 balls, including 2 fours and 3 sixes, the pair, with a 41 runs partnership for the 6th wicket, took past the target to give Autokitz CC  a comfortable 5 wicket win, with 2.2 overs to spare. Muditha Jayasundera capturing 2 wickets, supported by Thilak Johnson and Manjula Liyanage capturing 1 wicket apiece was the pick of the bowlers for Willows CC.
